Meet Becky Muelemans, TR Intern

Hello everyone! I’m a new intern from the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse. I’ve lived in Wisconsin my whole life until now, but thrilled to be exploring Colorado. So far I love KADEP and think that the program, participants, and staff are fantastic. It’s wonderful getting to know everyone and am so glad I made the right choice for my internship in Therapeutic Recreation.  I love camping, hiking, skiing, rollerblading, reading, playing board and card games, and spending time with family and friends. I am always game for trying new things and love adventures! I’m looking forward to the rest of the semester at KADEP and can already tell it will be hard to say goodbye.

Meet Jessica Boone, TR Intern

I recently moved from St. Simons Island, Georgia for my internship at KADEP, and I absolutely love it! I am currently studying Therapeutic Recreation at Georgia Southern University and will be completing my program in May. I enjoy the outdoors, traveling, and trying new things in life. I love music, photographs, and adventure! I am looking forward to a wonderful semester at KADEP and getting to know everyone at the program!

Meet Amanda Smutz- TR intern

I am studying therapeutic recreation at Metropolitan State of Denver. I am completing my internship here at KADEP and found out this is where my heart is. I really enjoy playing games, going camping, ATVing, snowmobiling, arts and crafts, and dancing in my spare time. Growing up in beautiful Colorado I have learned to love the outdoors and am really up for anything in it!!! I cannot wait to continue on my “walk about” with KADEP and get to know the unique personalities of the clients.

Meet TR Intern, Kasey Dugan

Hi everybody!  I am excited to be an intern here at KADEP. I grew up in Florida, but have lived in Colorado most of my life.  I'm studying Therapeutic Recreation at Metro State and will be graduated in May.  I got married to my wonderful husband last July.  He is a Littleton Firefighter.  I have a German Shepard named Tucker, a cat named Butters, and a horse named Gracie. I absolutely love animals!  I also enjoy reading, spending time with friends and family, and being outside and staying active.  I'm looking forward to getting to know everyone here!

They will be departing from the building at 10:00 and will be back in time for lunch.

KADEP's 3rd Annual Gourmet Valentine's Fundraiser!

The Sale begins TODAY and will go through Monday, February 6th.

These gourmet treats will be available for pick up on Monday, February 13th at KADEP, just in time for Valentine's Day.

Get your orders in quick!  Last year we raised over $1,300.  Let's beat that goal again this year!  All the proceeds go directly to KADEP.

Outing to National Western Stock Show

RTD Outing- Tuesday, January 10th to the National Western Stock Show!

A sign up sheet will be available at the front desk for anyone who is interested in going. The only way to be eligible to go is through the sign up sheet! Space is limited this year with only 16 tickets available and 6 tie down spots on the bus! We will be back in time for lunch that day.

We will be leaving at 10:00 and ask any clients who are attending to be here no later than 9:30. Hope to see all who attend in their western/cowboy attire!  Please talk to Amanda if you have questions.
