Remembering Dot Rutherford
1948 - 2012
Dorothy (Dot) Rutherford
passed away on August 17, 2012 from complications of Multiple Sclerosis. She was 64 years old and had lived in North
Carolina for the past several years to be near her children and grandchildren. Dot was diagnosed with MS over 20 years ago,
but remained very active until the first of this year when her health began to
decline. Dot was a devoted friend to
everyone who knew her.
A Celebration of Life memorial is to be
held at the King Adult Day Enrichment Program (KADEP) on Thursday, October 4th
at 1:30 pm. Dot was a
participant and volunteer at KADEP for many years. KADEP is located at 8845
Wagner Street, Westminster, CO 80031.
Dot is survived by her
daughter Tracy (Ted) Dorsi; son BJ (Carla) Condron; grandchildren Evan, Shannon
and Jalen all from Mebane and Haw River, NC; sister JoAnne Pritza, Grand Jct, CO;
brother Don (Karla) Rutherford, Lincoln City OR; Stepmother Vernice Rutherford,
Denver; Nephew Bill (Jen) Sain Parker CO; Niece Terri Sain (Brad) Grand Jct CO;
and many lifelong friends.
Dot was born in Denver on
July 12, 1948. She was preceded in death
by parents Royal and Lois Rutherford.
