What do KADEP clients do when it is freezing cold out???

Go to Hydrotherapy of course!

The pool temperature today was a warm 87 degrees. Even when it is cold you can still get a great workout in.

Last Friday Hydro for the semester

On the last day of Hydro for the semester the participants celebrate all their hard work and great achievements.
Hydrotherapy has endless benefits. One example, after a semester of hydro, a participant was able to walk using a walker for the first time in two years.

If you are interested in Hydro next semester see Makena or remember to sign up for it during group registration later this month.

KADEP Hydrotherapy

Did you know that KADEP offers three hydrotherapy classes a week?

Monday- Warm Water Pool
Tuesday- Independent Hydro
Friday- Cool Water Pool focused on MS

Hydrotherapy classes involve: shallow-water and deep-water exercise, water walking and adaptive aquatics.  This unique water exercise program offers individuals who can no longer stand or walk the opportunity to exercise in an upright position. The water's resistance results in more controlled movements and participants experience an independence denied to them in other environments. The goal is to help adults with neurological challenges become stronger and more flexible in body and mind.

If you are interested in more information about the Hydrotherapy program at KADEP:  Please contact Hydro Coordinator and CTRS, Beth Winter at 303-433-6887.
