CLEAN OUT WHILE GIVING BACK

CLEAN OUT WHILE GIVING BACK

KADEP NEEDS DONATED ITEMS TO AUCTION ON EBAY!

KADEP Enterprises is a new entrepreneurial initiative founded and run by participants of the King Adult Day Enrichment Program (KADEP). We are exploring small business ventures as a way to generate income for KADEP programs and equipment.

Our first venture is to sell donated items on eBay. We are looking for donated items new or in good condition that have a resale value of $35.00 or more, weigh 20 lbs. or less, and are safe to ship. Please donate your items to KADEP.

A division of the Rocky Mountain MS Center (RMMSC), KADEP is a day program for people with multiple sclerosis, brain injury and other neurological conditions. The purpose of KADEP Enterprises is to foster greater self-sufficiency for KADEP and its participants. Clients build self-esteem and gain valuable business and online skills, while they help raise money for KADEP improvements, such as adaptive computer and gardening equipment.

Juanita McConkey, an RMMSC employee, recently donated an invisible dog fence to KADEP Enterprises. After expenses, KADEP Enterprises made nearly $200.00 on the sale of that generous donation. After learning how much the dog fence was sold for, Juanita stated, “The fence was just collecting dust. Donating it to KADEP Enterprises allowed me to clear space in my home while giving me the satisfaction of knowing that it was going to a good cause.”

If you have and questions or want to drop off items at KADEP, please call Chris Dunbar at (303) 433-6887 x131 or send email to cdunbar@mscenter.org.

You may mail items to:

"Colorado's Only Open Bagpiper" visits KADEP

KADEP was lucky enough to have its first bagpipe concert last Friday, June 10th. Ben Holmes, “Colorado’s Only Open Bagpiper”, has been playing the bagpipe for several decades. For the All Things Scottish group, Ben played a large number of songs for a very attentive audience of KADEP participants. Between songs, Ben talked of Scottish folklore as well as taught the audience about the intricacies of the Scottish Great Bagpipe. Ben is an extremely talented bagpiper and public speaker. The KADEP participants loved the show whether they were laughing at his jokes or listening to his jamming.

Thanks for coming out Ben!

Ben offers private bagpipe lessons as well as teaches several local area bagpipe bands. Please click below if you are interested.

Memorial Day Poem Written by KADEP Client, Michael Wade Hancey

Memorial Day Poem

When we celebrate Memorial Day you should always rememeber to give a special acknowledgement to those individuals who have given their lives to America a free nation, America is filled with quite a few people in the world's population.  So many citizens in this nation give humble admiration to the blessing of living in this free nation!!

When we have a national celebration for these heroes, we need to show unto them our mark of respect and gratitude for being our heroes, you never know, over the years your foremost hero may turn out to be our baby bro!

On Memorial Day and any day when you behold the American flag flying in the wind, you should always praise and honor those who are so kind to devote their lives to help make that flag fly free in the wind for you and me!

We must tribute a rememberance to Christopher Columbus who willingly sailed the ocean blue, and landed on the American continent which is now home for me and you!

We must esteem and give tribute to the armed forces of our nation today, for being so mighty and brave, showing other nations how they should behave; we compliment the armed forces for being so mighty and brave!

HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!!
WE LOVE YOU AMERICAN!!!
GOD BLESS THE USA!!!
