By participating in the program, I have been opened to the wonderful “KADEP way of life.” At KADEP, people of different abilities (not disabilities) come together to be in a society where disabilities are not viewed as anything remotely degrading; participants are viewed more for what abilities they possess.
KADEP should not be viewed as an place to go to escape the world, but as a place where the participants and staff come to accomplish whatever tasks they can. An effort is made to make sure that everyone has the potential to make the day rewarding for themselves in this wonderful place.
