Rocky Mountain MS Center presents...

Invisible Symptoms of MS: Cognition, Fatigue and Depression

April 24th, 2010
8:00 am to 12:00pm

The Summit Conference and Event Center
411 Sable Boulevard North
Aurora, CO 80011

Join us for a seminar addressing the issues that people with MS often struggle with the most; Fatigue, Depression and Cognition. They can be all the more daunting, because they are often invisible to others - and hence the familiar ; “But you look so good”.

When attorney Jeffrey N. Gingold misplaced his wife on the living room couch, and became lost while driving just blocks from his home, little did he know that he was experiencing a hidden symptom of multiple sclerosis: cognitive difficulties. Facing the Cognitive Challenges of Multiple Sclerosis is a courageous and compelling personal account of one man's anguishing struggle with this aspect of the disease. It was written for the silent majority of MS patients who are privately dealing with MS cognitive symptoms and potential disabilities. His latest book, Mental Sharpening Stones is about how to successfully manage the cognitive challenges of MS.

Dr. Tim Vollmer, Medical Director of the Rocky Mountain MS Center will share the latest research and treatments available to address the invisible symptoms of MS. There have been exciting developments and new options for successfully treating these challenging symptoms.

Patricia Kennedy, RN, CNP, MSCN will discuss how to define the invisible symptoms of MS.

This event is free, but registration is required. Please register at: http://www.mscenter.org/news-a-events/calendar-of-events?view=event&did=82&shw_attendees=0
