National Volunteer Week

Allison Schovee and Abby are a delightful pair of volunteers at the RMMSC's King Adult Day Enrichment Program (KADEP). They have been volunteering every other week for about two years, and we're happy to feature them for National Volunteer Week! #NVW
Abby is a beautiful lab therapy dog who visits with her cheerful, compassionate, and friendly owner, Allison. When the two come through the doors, it’s easy to tell that tension people might be experiencing is eased. Everyone adores petting Abby as well as chatting with Allison. Allison does an awesome job of getting around to visit with all the clients and remembers who all of our dog lovers are. Allison is incredibly thoughtful, keeping in mind details about the clients and even has brought treats from her travels to Hawaii on occasion.
Their gentle and calming presence is always welcome because it’s impossible not to feel joy and peace when visiting with them. There are numerous physical and mental health benefits of pet therapy and we are so glad that Allison and Abby chose KADEP so that clients can receive those wonderful benefits!
