Poetry by Jeff

The home of the dreams
can make it seem we're free
but in Texas is always free
Texas is calm like the sea
home of the brave land of the free
Texas the gentle giant
know me for who I am
a brave soul and strong man

Poetry by Monica

I ponder the pineapple
Never seen where they grow
I think its high above my head
OUCH what if it falls and hits my head
would the spikes drill into my skull,
I'd become even more dull
so I just decided I don't care to go
where the pineapple grow

Poetry by Christine

Poetry written by Christine in the Poetry group that takes place each Tuesday Morning

I am Linus, I am a basset hound
I was lost but now I am found
My favorite thing in life was eating flies
One day I was smelling the holly hocks
And I ate a fly, at least I thought it was safely
A sharp pain went through my tongue
Fiercly I drug my tongue along the grass
It was a bumblebee, not a fly
I stopped eating flies by and by
Because I don't want to get stung and die
